About this event

Delve into topics surrounding art, tech & social justice as SIA faculty member Leo Crane hosts a live discussion alongside a distinguished panel on Twitter Spaces. Speakers include two founders of art & tech-driven social justice projects - Sabra Williams of Creative Acts' VR re-entry programme, and Owo Anietie of AfroDroids & the Dreamcatchers Academy campaign. The SIA Twitter Space is a place for stimulating discourse and dialogue which is open to all.

Sabra Williams
Sabra Williams is an actor and activist. She is co-founder of Creative Acts, using the arts for civic engagement in juvenile facilities and a new Virtual Reality Arts Reentry program in adult maximum security prisons across America.

Owo Anietie
Owo Anietie is an Afrofuturist artist, exploring the intersection of African Diaspora Culture with technology. Through his NFT project Afrodroids, he raised $500k to build the Dreamcatchers School, providing arts education to 100 orphaned girls in Lagos, Nigeria.

Leo Crane is a studio director using web3 for community building and creative production. Alongside his practice as a painter and animator, he runs courses at Sotheby’s Institute of Art exploring art business and creative leadership.
