Join us for this exciting event as we look at careers through our MA Fine and Decorative Art and Design and MA Historic Art and Design programs.

This virtual event spotlights career outcomes for MA students at Sotheby's Institute of Art, with ideas, advice and an outline of help and resources available to students. The session will include a Q&A of recent alumni of our MA Fine and Decorative Art and Design program (London) and our MA Historic Art and Design program (New York) moderated by our Global Program Director, Dr. Bernard Vere. This will be followed by a presentation on the bespoke Careers Service offered across both London and New York campuses, delivered by directors of careers Hillary Burchfield (New York) and Diana Ewer (London).

Emily Males, Engagement & Events Administrator at Tate
Emily graduated from Sotheby's Institute of Art-London, in 2023 with a Distinction in the MA Fine and Decorative Art and Design program. She currently works in the Development department at Tate, delivering a variety of bespoke events for Tate supporters, patrons, international councils, and acquisition committees. Such events range from exhibition opening receptions and seated dinners, to private collection visits and artist studio tours.

Her experience in the art world also extends to the commercial gallery and members-club sectors, where she has worked at blue-chip galleries Gagosian and Thaddaeus Ropac, as well as the International Catalogue Raisonné Association (ICRA). The last exhibition she visited was Yoshimoto Nara at Hayward Gallery.
