Seol Park

Adjunct Faculty, New York

Seol Park is a corporate brand management executive with a 20-year international career in brand development and cultural advisory. She has worked with a broad spectrum of global businesses, from technology giants like Microsoft, Chevron, and INTEL to leading lifestyle enterprises like Swire Properties/Art Basel HK, Disney, and Blue Moon Beer. Her work often involves developing high impact collaborations between commercial brands and category-defining creators and institutions from the fine arts community.

Ms. Park currently serves as Head of Brand Management at LG Corp, a South Korean conglomerate operating in over 60 countries with market leading businesses in consumer electronics, future mobility, telecommunications services, industrial products, and beauty/healthcare. She directs the evolution of the “LG” brand as a strategic asset, by spearheading activities in advertising, sponsorships and brand-led engagements. Including, notably, the LG Guggenheim Art and Technology Initiative, a multifaceted five-year global partnership to propel developments at the intersection of art and technology, while enhancing the value of LG’s brand in strategic areas of interest.

Outside of the office, Ms. Park serves on the Board of the Korea Advertising Society, and is a Trustee at the American Folk Art Museum in New York. She has a BA in Industrial Design from Ewha Women’s University (Seoul, South Korea), and an MA Summa Cum Laude in American Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art-New York.

At Sotheby’s Institute of Art-New York, Ms. Park is Adjunct Faculty with her masterclass, “Art and Brand Collaborations: Contemporary Practice,” in the Luxury Market Economics course. This Masterclass broadens the discourse on the evolving relationship between the artistic community and consumer brands.
