Richard Lehun’s work intersects the legal fields of fiduciary law and intellectual property, as well as visual arts and film. He regularly handles legal concerns related to artist-gallery relations, artist commissions, auctions houses, and the like and is a member of the Directors Guild, the Deutsche Filmakademie, and the New York Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers. He attended the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie (dffb) for studies in film and television directing. In 2009 he self-produced an alternative film entitled, One Last Dance, which received funding from several reputable organizations including the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) and the National Film Board. He is currently working on a documentary that highlights the changing visual art scene of New York City. His teaching background includes experience as a teaching fellow at McGill’s Faculty of Law, a Visiting Researcher at Harvard Law School, and a regular guest lecture at Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
