Arts and Culture Conversations in Downtown LA

As the ambitions of artist’s and their practices have grown and evolved, so have the operational necessities of their studios. We have invited four artists with four very different practices and one studio manager to join us for a discussion of the ‘business’ of the artist’s studio – what it entails, what are its challenges, and how it has changed.

  • Enrique Martinez Celaya Artist
  • Rachel Lachowicz Artist
  • Gala Porras-Kim Artist
  • Nery Lemus Artist
  • Tyler Britt Director, Sterling Ruby Studio

This event is part of the Sotheby’s Institute of Art’s Creative Industries Colloquium, presented in partnership with Claremont Graduate University. This conversation series brings you the voices that matter to arts and culture in LA today. For seven Thursdays, cultural luminaries and leaders will join us in downtown LA to address the challenges and opportunities facing their organizations and fields.

Join us and learn more about Sotheby’s Institute’s MA programs in Art Business and Arts Management and meet the people who are shaping LA’s cultural landscape now. Space is limited, so please RSVP.
