Meet Dr Iain Robertson and get an up-close experience of our Master’s program in Art Business as taught in our London campus. This session will include a lecture by Dr Robertson and a study visit to Sir Percival David’s stellar collection of Chinese ceramics at the British Museum in London.

Experience what it’s like to be a student in our MA in Art Business through an interactive session with Dr Iain Robertson, Head of Art Business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art London campus.

Join Dr Robertson for a lecture on art business to be delivered at the Institute, followed by a study visit to the Joseph Hotung Study Centre at the British Museum (London), a state-of-the-art gallery opened in 2009 to house Sir Percival David’s stellar collection of Chinese ceramics. You will be guided by Dr Robertson through the collection’s highlight comprising some 1,700 objects whose scholarly value and extraordinary beauty is recognised around the world. Get a taste of what you will learn during the MA program and develop the ability to place art objects within both its aesthetic and commercial contexts, and to discuss the legal/ethical implications of its historical provenance and current location.
