Sandra Bloodworth, Director, MTA Arts & Design runs the award-winning public art program that commissions visual and performance art projects across New York City and beyond. The program’s art collection is experienced by millions of commuters daily in NYC’s subway stations and includes work by Sarah Sze, Vik Muniz, Nancy Spero, Sam Gilliam, Sol LeWitt, Faith Ringgold and hundreds of other emerging, mid-career and established artists.

Sandra will discuss her extensive career in public art leadership and her role shaping New York’s Underground Art Museum. The talk will be followed by a signing of her book New York's Underground Art Museum: MTA Arts and Design, which she coauthored with independent curator, William Ayres.
