Arts and Culture Conversations in Downtown LA

Technology is quickly changing the way the arts are produced and consumed and valued. Blockchain, 3-D Printing, and VR/AR are just a few of the applications that stand to transform art businesses and organizations, let alone artistic practices, in years to come. Understanding these transformations is essential for anyone interested in what the intersections of art and technology will be.

Addressing these and other topics related to the cultures of art and tech will be:

  • Ethan Appleby CEO and Founder of Vango; Host of State of the Art Podcast
  • Debra Scacco Artist, Residency Director at Los Angeles CleanTech Incubator
  • Alyse Killeen Managing Partner, StillMark Co. and StillMark Capital
  • Justin Diener Managing Partner, Drive Studios

This event is part of the Sotheby’s Institute of Art’s Creative Industries Colloquium, presented in partnership with Claremont Graduate University. This conversation series brings you the voices that matter to arts and culture in LA today. For seven Thursdays, cultural luminaries and leaders will join us in downtown LA to address the challenges and opportunities facing their organizations and fields.

Join us and learn more about Sotheby’s Institute’s MA programs in Art Business and Arts Management and meet the people who are shaping LA’s cultural landscape now. Space is limited, so please RSVP.
