What is the creative economy? How does it fit in the greater landscape of Los Angeles? Are industry leaders promoting or impeding efforts to increase diversity and equity? Is this a golden era for entertainment in LA? Is the LA city government helping to promote entertainment? How are Claremont Colleges graduates helping to lead and shape the creative industries?
Sotheby's Institute of Art at Claremont Graduate University, Pomona College, Claremont McKenna College, Pitzer College, Harvey Mudd College, and Scripps College cordially invite their alumni, current students, and families to join us for a special joint event: Claremont and the Creative Economy in Los Angeles. The evening will be highlighted by a panel featuring representatives from each of the Claremont Colleges. Panelists will share their opinion on the creative economy in LA, how their career/organization fits within that economy, and their thoughts on the future for the creative industries both in Southern California and across the nation and globe.
Featured panelists include:
Trifari White, Co-Executive Producer Zee TV USA, Pitzer College Class of 2001
Stacy Brightman, VP of Education and Community Engagement, LA Opera, Pomona College Class of 1986
