This course reveals the current status of London as an art world centre, exploring the development of contemporary art in this global capital. The course is highly experiential and uncovers London’s contemporary art scene through an extensive series of visits to a wide variety of art collections. Combined with onsite lectures at the Institute, this course will provide exclusive insight into some of the most renowned and innovative masterpieces in London. Participants will develop an understanding of key moments in London’s more recent artistic development, and gain a sense of what the future holds for London’s contemporary art scene.

This course includes:

  • Expert lectures with time for questions and discussion
  • Learning in the Institute's historic Georgian townhouse campus at the heart of Bloomsbury
  • Networking opportunities with faculty and fellow participants
  • Certificate of participation on completion of the course
