Overview

This course offers a comprehensive overview of the legal framework operating within the art world today. In addition to examining the often complex issues, such as provenance, authenticity and the rights of the artist, which govern the sale and purchase of artworks, the course also explores other important areas relating to the practice of art law, including taxation, restitution and the fascinating subject of fakes and forgeries.

    Venue: The course will take place at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, 30 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3EE.
