This intensive cultural leadership ‘boot camp’ is primarily for early and mid-career arts professionals in the public or private sector. Over five full days, it will expose participants to some of the key issues facing aspiring leaders within galleries, museums, auction houses, and luxury brands, and especially those who are expected to work across both cultural and entrepreneurial spheres. The course will explore the role leadership plays in the art world, and the complex relationships of the arts, entrepreneurship and business. It will also encourage participants to reflect on their own leadership style, practice and potential through a series of individual and group activities. The course will build on the group’s own experiences and tailor content to their needs, also including a number of opportunities to network within the group and with leaders in the field.
This course includes:
- Expert lectures with time for questions and discussion
- Learning in the Institute's historic Georgian townhouse campus at the heart of Bloomsbury
- Networking opportunities with faculty and fellow participants
- Certificate of participation on completion of the course
