Overview

British art is celebrated for its beauty, diversity, outstanding quality and market availability. From powerful portraits to serene landscapes and fine furniture, it can meet virtually any aesthetic and budget.

This course introduces essential questions of how to collect British art in the twenty-first century, considering historical and practical approaches to the subject. It affords opportunities to examine current market trends with both auction house professionals and leading London dealers.

This course includes:

  • Certificate of participation on completion of the course;
  • Lectures from leading industry professionals with time for questions and discussion;
  • Networking opportunities with faculty and fellow participants;
  • Learning in the Institute's historic Georgian townhouse campus at the heart of Bloomsbury.
