Summer Study: Fine and Decorative Art through the Royal Palaces

In this course students study a selected group of royal palaces in and around London. Using these world-class collections as a focal point, students examine the architecture and history of each palace and its collections of paintings and decorative art. Lectures complemented with first-hand study and frequent site visits encompass the Renaissance to the early 20th century. Some prior knowledge of art would be helpful.
