Aligned with the Singapore Biennale, one of the most exciting art events in Asia, and the debut Showcase: Singapore, a premium boutique art fair that features top galleries from Asia, Europe and America, this three-day intensive educational course will feature special lectures, panel discussions, and guided visits to the Biennale and Fair by Institute faculty, experts in the field, gallery directors, dealers and leading institutions.
Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the development of modern and contemporary art and explore subjects ranging from the dynamics of Asian biennales to trends in the art market. The courses also offer a ‘hands-on’ experience through visits and guided tours. Designed for art professionals, collectors, and those interested in art, participants gain the opportunity to expand their knowledge of the Asian contemporary art scene.
Lecturers will include Tony Godfrey, Director of Research, Sotheby’s Institute of Art – London, and Dr. Eugene Tan, Programme Director for Contemporary Art, Sotheby's Institute of Art – Singapore.
