"MA in a Day" at Sotheby’s Institute of Art - Singapore

Sotheby’s Institute of Art – Singapore is the only location in Asia to offer the Master of Arts degree in Art Business (MAAB); and the Master of Arts degree in Contemporary Art (MACA). These programmes are delivered by our world class staff and validated by the famous University of Manchester UK.

We believe that the best way to understand more about our MA programmes, and to appreciate our unique environment and teaching approach is to visit us at our new premises in Singapore.

We have therefore decided to run a series of “MA in a Day” introduction events to bring the experience alive for potential students, and to give you a more accurate idea of how we work.

The forthcoming dates are:

9 May 2009

The day will last from 10.00-16.30 and it will be themed around the teaching year. The day will include live teaching sessions, a tour of our facilities and a Q&A panel with faculty and current students

10.30 – 11.30: Semester 1 (MACA) Conceptual art
11.30 – 12.30: Semester 1 (MAAB) Art Markets
12.30 – 13.30: Lunch/Study trip to China
13.30 – 14.15: Semester 2 (MACA) Art and Globalisation
14.15 – 15.00: Semester 2 (MAAB) Art Valuation
15.00 – 15.15: Study trip New York, Coffee & Donuts
15.15 – 15.45: Semester 3, Internships and Dissertation
15.45 – 16.30: Panel Discussion, Q& A about our programmes
16.30: Graduation
