Postgraduate Programmes All postgraduate programmes (MA &PG Dip) require the completion of a BA degree or equivalent. The usual pre-requisite for postgraduate study at the Institute is a bachelor's degree with a major or minor in Art History. Exceptions to the undergraduate art history requirement can be made, based upon an applicant's experience in the visual arts or the relevance of other areas of study. We advise those without formal art history backgrounds to discuss their qualifications with the Institute's Registrar, Ivy Lim, by phone at +65 6305 2600, before submitting an application. Prospective students who have an undergraduate degree in a subject other than art history and no other art background who wish to study a specialised art subject may qualify for admission through a satisfactory grade in one of the One-Semester programmes. In this case, a further application for postgraduate study is required. To apply, candidates may use the form provided in the brochure or click on the application form above. Enrolment is taken on a rolling basis throughout the year. However, we encourage those interested to apply at the earliest possible date to assure sufficient time for consideration. Transcripts Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate-level programmes attended must be sent directly to the Institute's Registrar from an applicant's college or university and must be received prior to final action by the Committee on Admissions. English LanguageApplicants whose first language is not English must submit documentation of appropriate English proficiency test scores. The minimum requirements for all postgraduate programmes are fluent written and spoken English to British Council IELTS level 7 or TOEFL 600 (paper-based test) or 250 (computer-based test) or equivalent. Full offers on Postgraduate programmes cannot be given without the Institute having first received applicants' English Language test scores. InterviewsAll full-time programme applicants will be invited to schedule an interview with a member of the Institute's staff after receipt of all required application materials. Interviews will be scheduled by the Admissions Manager (please see below). Applicants will be contacted at the appropriate time to make such arrangements. The interviewer will assess the candidate's aptitude for the programme, level of English skill and commitment to study. Interviews are held in Singapore throughout the year. Applicants will be contacted by the Institute's Admissions Manager to arrange their interviews. ![]() Singapore Visa Applications More information: Immigration & Checkpoints Authority Contact for Singapore programmes
