Art Through the Ages

Join us for a compelling and intensive 6-week course devoted to surveying the great milestones and major movements of art and art history over the centuries.

Both an essential introduction to art from Classical Greece to the 21st century and a comprehensive review of the context for each pivotal art movement, the course is designed to present students with basic art history while acquainting them with major artists and styles in various media.

The course emphasises postimpressionism, the 20th-century styles of fauvism, cubism, futurism, surrealism, social realism and explores how contemporary art has evolved into the present.
