This course is designed for students to gain a better understanding of jewelry’s components and how jewelry styles and functionality can affect value. An introduction to basic jewelry terminology (in addition to the “4 C’s”) along with discussions of the different design periods and styles will provide insight into jewelry’s evolution through the ages.
