As part of the New York campus orientation week, new students visited Governors Island on Friday, 4 September 2009, where the public art exhibition, PLOT 2009: This World & Nearer Ones is currently on view.

Dr. Kathy Battista, Director of the Contemporary Art Programme, gave a talk on the history of the island, and the exhibition.
