This one-week course examines the art of China, Korea and Japan from the Neolithic to the close of the imperial era. Lectures in painting, printmaking, ritual and religious art and the decorative arts offer an essential understanding of the major components of East Asian art.

Visits to museums and galleries, as well as a ceramics handling session, complement classroom learning.
