Sotheby's Institute of Art is committed to fostering and developing its international network of graduates and welcomes all graduates to join our Alumni Association.

Graduates of Sotheby's Institute of Art remain connected to the Institute and represent the art organisations they work for situated all over the world.

We are delighted to announce the launch of our alumni groups on Facebook and LinkedIn. These sites provide a great way for you to stay connected with the Institute and with fellow Alumni. By becoming a member of the Alumni Facebook group, Alumni can view upcoming events, see pictures of Alumni events, post discussions and news and access many Sotheby's Institute of Art resources. By joining the Alumni Linkedin Group, graduates gain access to the leading professional on-line networking tool enabling them to connect professionally, post news articles, discussions, job opportunities and more. This Spring, Sotheby’s Institute of Art is launching a career services portal powered by College Central Network. More than 2 million students and employers use College Central Network as their careers portal. Our new job board allows you to use career-building tools, post resumes, search for jobs posted exclusively for Sotheby’s Institute alumni, and also have access to more than 50 thousand active jobs in the College Central Network. Simply go to www.collegecentral.com/sothebysinstitute and follow the instructions to register as an alumni. Once we have brought the system online we will be working with employers in the international art world to make sure that our alumni have access to the best jobs in the field. Featured Graduate: Peter Costanzo
Peter Costanzo
Peter Costanzo completed his MA in American Fine and Decorative Art in 2007 and now works as a Specialist in the Books & Manuscripts Department at Bloomsbury Auctions in New York where he is also their Principal Auctioneer. Before studying at Sotheby's Institute of Art, Peter worked in a family auction business which introduced him at a young age to estate sales. Peter studied art history and researched Mathew Brady's Civil War photography as an undergraduate student at Reed College, continuing to focus on Americana while at Sotheby's Institute of Art, and writing his Master's dissertation on the Civil War paintings of Eastman Johnson.
