MA Contemporary Art, London, 2006 Stephanie recently joined The Museum of Modern Art as the Assistant to the Chief Curator of the Painting and Sculpture Department. The museum recently opened “Abstract Expressionist New York”, which runs through April 25th, 2011. Prior to her current position, Stephanie had been working for three years as an administrator to the Chinese Works of Art Department at Sotheby's New York. Yuko Komiyama-Folan MA Fine & Decorative Art, London, 2004 Yuko continues to work with artist Mark Alexander and is pleased to announce both the launch of his official website: markalexanderart.com and the extension of his exhibition Red Mannheim at St. Paul's Cathedral through the end of this year. Ying Lawrence MA Contemporary Art, Singapore, 2009 Ying recently joined ART HK as the Fair Director's Assistant. Prior to this she worked as Curatorial Assistant at Osage Gallery in Hong Kong Davina Lee MA Photography, London, 2007 Davina Lee’s latest project entitled "Simulated Alternate Realities" will be on view until November 10th 2010 at one of Hong Kong's most important alternative art spaces, 1a space. In addition to talks she has given on collecting photography and on the photography market in Hong Kong, Davina continues to curate an ongoing series of screenings of artists’ videos under the title Diorama Projects. Littlejohn MA Art Business, London, 2003 In May 2010, Andrew joined the International Client Group at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. In addition to offering comprehensive investment management and banking advice, Andrew has developed a unique art solutions platform to meet the needs of the most discerning collectors, art investors and art market practitioners. Since leaving Sotheby's Institute in 2000, Elain has worked at Christie's and Yale University Press, and is an editor for architecture and design at Thames & Hudson, in London. www.thamesandhudson.com Kerrie-rue Michahelles MA Fine & Decorative Art, London, 1998 In 2008 Kerrie-rue Michahelles received the degree of M.Phil. in the History of Art through Sotheby’s Institute and and the University of Manchester, England. Kerrie-rue continues to work as an art advisor, historian, and critic for various publications. Her pending article for the London-based journal “Furniture History” presents her archival research of the inventories of movables Christine de Lorraine brought with her to Florence upon the occasion of her marriage to Ferdinando de Medici in 1589. Kerrie-rue is developing a unique blog, Kerrie-rue.com, to share her insight on the international art world, including auctions, exhibitions, and art fairs, in addition to her own research. Margo Moscou MA American Fine & Decorative Art, London, 2003 Margo will be speaking at the Louisiana State Museum’s inaugural Winter Art and Antiques Show in New Orleans, December 3-5. She will be speaking on the topic of nineteenth century New Orleans’ free-men-of-color cabinetmakers. Margo’s dissertation, New Orleans' Free-Men-of-Color Cabinet Makers in the New Orleans Furniture Trade 1800-1850, was published as a book by Xavier University Press in November 2008. Charlotte Mouquin MA Contemporary Art, New York, 2008 Charlotte Mouquin continues to curate in New York City. Chien Ng MA East Asian Art, London, 2005 Chien Ng has been a dealer in Chinese antiques in Hollywood Road, Hong Kong since graduating from Sotheby’s Institute in 2005. He participates in most international Asian art auctions as both a buyer and a vendor and recently started teaching a certificate course on Chinese ceramics at the Open University of Hong Kong. Blaise Niosi MA Art Business, New York, 2006 In 2010, Blaise founded Blaise + Co. Contemporary Art, after having worked for two years in the Client Development department at Sotheby’s Auction House. Blaise + Co. is a career-management agency for emerging contemporary artists who want to launch their careers while bypassing the traditional gallery sector. The firm has produced one exhibition a month either in alternative spaces or in collaboration with a commercial business including fashion designers, nightlife purveyors and private clubs. As a representative of emerging artists, Blaise + Co. has also become a hub for budding collectors looking to discover the latest talent. November's event will team a Blaise + Co. photographer with a London-based fashion house for their New York debut. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. Pazit Offner-Dines MA Contemporary Design, London, 2009 Soon after graduating from the MA in Contemporary Design in 2009, Pazit delivered a paper at the Museums and Galleries History Group Annual Conference on Museums and the Market held in Leeds on September 10th and 11th. Her paper was based on her MA dissertation and examined the relationship between market value and cultural status in terms of contemporary design, using key designs by Tejo Remy, Jeroen Verhoven and others in the V&A collection as case studies. She works as a market and culture consultant and researcher for 20th century and contemporary design objects. pazitod@gmail.com Elizabeth Ogden MA Art Business, New York, 2007 Elizabeth Odgen works as a researcher and docent at The Historic New Orleans Collection, a museum an research facility for the city and the region. Recently, Elizabeth helped to complete the collection’s latest publication, Furnishing Louisiana: Creole and Acadian Furniture, 1735-1835, which will be available in December. Elizabeth is always pleased to announce the arrival of a baby boy, Henry Janke. Amanda Oleson MA Art Business, New York, 2008 After graduating from the New York MAAB program in 2008, Amanda began interning at Zane Bennett Contemporary Art in Santa Fe, NM. Shortly thereafter, she was promoted to Administrator and then to Manager of the gallery, in charge of all operations. Just shy of her one-year anniversary with the company, she has been selected to begin the transition to Gallery Director. Amanda also received an appointment to the Executive Board of the New Mexico Lawyers for the Arts, and she founded the founded the Railyard Arts District organization that includes ten high-end contemporary art galleries, as well as SITE Santa Fe. The organization hosts seminars with local groups, participates in group advertising and branding, organizes art-walks and generally works toward raising awareness of the contemporary arts in Santa Fe. In her spare time, she continues her research and study of 19th-century British and French fine art and plans to begin the Ph.D. program at the University of New Mexico in 2011. Uma Parameswar MA Art Business, Singapore, 2009 In continuation of her dissertation on Public Museums in India: A review of the National Museum, New Delhi, Uma authored a report titled Towards Profitable Public Sector Museums in India which details an in-depth study on the current state of public sector museums in India and opportunities for growth. The Public Sector report has garnered tremendous interest from various private and public sector organizations in India including civil servants of the government of India, and conglomerates like GMK instrumental in semi-privatizing the international airports in India. Mirela Pribac MA Contemporary Art, London, 2007 After completing the Contemporary Art programme, Mirela moved to Rome where she has been working as Curator of Contemporary Art for the Romanian Academy in Rome. She has been curating and coordinating catalogues for the annual summer show, Spazi Aperti, a collaboration with international academies and cultural institutes. She also acts as a visiting art critic and curator for Cornell University and is a foreign correspondent of Flash Art International. www.spaziaperti.org Alexandra Reumert MA Art Business, London, 2000 Alexandra continues to work as Director and Curator for Galerie Reumert in Notting Hill. It is his first solo show in the UK. http://www.galeriereumert.com/ Philippa Richardson BA Fine & Decorative Art, London, 1999 Philippa Richardson (nee Patrick,) continues to work from her home studio as a self employed artist in Haslemere. This year she took part in the fourth year of the De'Longhi Art Auction which is now a highly anticipated event in London's art calendar. The Auction raises crucial funds and awareness for MacMillan Cancer support and serves as a source of support and a force of change. Her painting 'Landscape Palette' raised nearly £3,000. All proceeds were donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. Steve Sabella MA Art Business, London, 2009 Steve Sabella had his first major New York show “The Interrupted Image” at the Nicholas Robinson Gallery early this Fall. From October 23rd- November 30th he is part of an exhibition in Dubai called “Borderlines, Denconstructing Exile” at the Green Art Gallery. Sabella was invited to present his work as part of the State of the Art - Middle East: The Future of the Middle East conference organized by ArtInsight & ArtTactic in London. He was also in a discussion panel with Dr. Venetia Porter from the British Museum who announced the recent addition of Sabella's artwork Till the End 2004 to their permanent collection. Sabella's Sotheby's dissertation Reconsidering the Value of Palestinian Art and its Journey into the Art Market is now published in two parts in the journal Contemporary Practices Art (vol 7). The next major show for Sabella is the international inaugural exhibition for the Arab Museum of Modern Art in Qatar that opens this December and runs until May 2011. www.stevesabella.com Diana Perry Schnelle MA Contemporary Art, London, 2006 Diana Perry Schnelle has enjoyed an exciting autumn at Thames & Hudson, where she continues to work as an editor, and a number of her books have recently been published. In September, Romantic Moderns by Alexandra Harris was nominated for the Guardian First Book Award, and was chosen as the Guardian book of the week. Martin Creed's first monograph, Martin Creed: Works, was a major project throughout most of 2010, and was published to coincide with a major exhibition at the Fruitmarket Gallery. The House has also published Auto-Focus: The Self-Portrait in Contemporary Photography, the second book with T&H by Susan Bright, former MACA lecturer and Director for the Sotheby’s MA in Photography programme. Natalie Popovic Schuh MA Contemporary Art, London, 2008 Natalie has been working as Associate Director at The Carrie Secrist Gallery in Chicago, where she co-curates all gallery shows. In July, Natalie solo-curated two separate shows of works by Brandon Anschultz and Nicole Mauser. Ala Sernetz MA Contemporary Art, London, 2006 Since leaving the Institute, Ala moved from Sao Paulo to Berlin where she is the Director at Galerie Max Hetzler. She is pleased to be working with many exciting artists including Mona Hatoum, Monica Bonvicini, Albert Oehlen, Ernesto Neto, and Thomas Struth, among many others. Alexander Slonevsky MA Art Business, New York, 2009 Alexander recently co- founded Rooster Gallery with Andrea Escarameia Calhia on New York’s Lower East Side and serves as a Principal. Trained as a designer, Alexander has worked for several advertising agencies and design companies in New York and Boston. In addition, he worked as a designer at Sotheby's NY and as the Assistant Director of Janos Gat Gallery on the Bowery. He is currently employed as a freelance designer while continuing to work on Rooster Gallery. André Escarameia Calha MA Art Business, New York, 2009 Andre has brought his knowledge of the contemporary Portuguese and European art worlds to the Rooster Gallery which he co-founded and serves as Principal with Alexander Slonevsky. André graduated in with a degree History of Art from the University of Coimbra, Portugal, and Masters in History of Contemporary Art from Nova University of Lisbon, Portugal. André interned in a Portuguese national museum, and worked for private dealers and galleries, both in Portugal and in New York.

She is responsible for re-branding the fairs by employing her knowledge of design, advertising, arts marketing and social media to rouse new interest and make LA a necessary destination for anyone in the art world. Simmy co-founded a curating team, TS+ Projects. T+S Projects has curated and co-curated numerous exhibitions, and written numerous blog articles, which can be found on their Forum. Simmy has published “The Looting of the Iraq Museum: Curbing the Trade in Illicit Iraqi Patrimony” in Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Journal, Fall/Winter 2009; and “The Looting of the Iraq Museum: An Examination of Efforts to Protect Universal Cultural Property” in Journal of Art Crime, Arca Publications, Spring 2010.
