Stephanie Adamowicz Art Business, London, 2007 Over the past summer Stephanie joined Artist Pension Trust® (APT) in New York and has been actively involved in implementing many of their new initiatives including a studio programme in Brooklyn and a curatorial program. Dana Anderson Art Business, New York, 2007 Dana completed internships at Spanierman Gallery, LLC and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City while studying in the Art Business programme at Sotheby's Institute of Art in New York. Before graduating, she joined VIART Corporation, a corporate and private art consulting and management firm in Manhattan as a Junior Associate. Dana has been a part of the Development Office of The Metropolitan Museum of Art as a Development Assistant for Major Gifts since 2008, focusing on the Museum’s capital campaign. Tory Barneson Contemporary Art, New York, 2008 Tory is now working at the Judd Foundation, NY as the Archives Assistant. Dr. Stephanie (Fröschner) Bohn Styles in Art Course 19th – 20th Century Decorative Works of Art Stephanie Bohn now works as an art consultant for Contemporary German Art in her own firm in Bonn, Hamburg and Berlin. Tabatha Caludia Flores Art Business, London, 2006 Tabatha is working as Managing Director of Medicine Wheel Productions (MWP), an arts organisation that mounts site specific large-scale public art installations. MWP, based out of South Boston, was created by artist Michael Dowling. Dowling recently completed his largest recurring site-specific public art event in Boston for A Day Without Art/World AIDS day on December 1, 2009. She is also working on Michael Dowling and MWP Ireland’s upcoming 2013 installation entitled “The Tonnes: A Meeting of the Waters”, a site specific art installation intended to animate the public space of the Foyle River and Lough Foyle, and to serve as a post-peace process dialogue public art project in the troubled boundary between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. ArtExpert also organises cultural activities and has a research and art consulting service covering all aspects of art. www.artexpert.eu Rachel Paukman Feldman American Arts Course, New York, 2006 Art Business, New York, 2007 Since completing two programmes at the Institute, Rachel co-founded Rachel Arts Mansion with her husband Michael. Rachel Arts Mansion is an art-consulting/curating company, primarily specialising in Russian art, but also caters to the greater art market. Rachel Arts Mansion features work from its own collection as well as artists on consignment. Yuko Komiyama-Folan Contemporary Art, London 2004 After graduating from Sotheby’s Institute, Yuko worked as an independent curator/advisor, and organised and developed a handful of exhibitions/events in London before joining Haunch of Venison, first as an intern in January of 2005. In 2006, her relocation to Berlin brought her opportunities to do more research-based projects and work with artists with different ambitions. Upon returning to the UK in 2007, Yuko has been working exclusively with British artist Mark Alexander, with whom she successfully organised a solo exhibition in Berlin in the summer of 2009. She is currently working to organise Alexander’s numerous 2010 exhibitions including a group show in Berlin in January, an exhibition in London in February, an event in Maastricht in March, and a solo exhibition in Athens in April. In addition, Yuko worked on a film on Alexander with celebrated British Art critic Andrew Graham-Dixon. Gisela Gueros Contemporary Art, New York, 2008 Gisela is now working as a New York correspondent for Joyce Pascowitch, a major culture magazine based in Brazil. She is also an intern at the David Zwirner gallery, in Chelsea. http://www.revistajoycepascowitch.com.br/ Dieter Hammer Works of Art Course, London, 1991 In 2009 Dieter became an accredited mediator through the World Intellectual Property Organisation, Geneva, and the International Chamber of Commerce, Paris. In addition to institutional conflict resolution, Dieter has expanded his business as an independent commercial mediator and consults on an ad hoc basis. He has a track record in resolving conflicts in various fields including art related disputes. Thuraya works with designers and sources artworks for projects, mostly in the hospitality sector and is enjoying being in a creative environment. Kate Klorer Fine & Decorative Art, London 2004 Kate is currently working at The Frick Collection as Assistant Museum Educator. She leads the school visit programme, which introduces grade school and high school students to the collection. Jessica K. Knopp-Gwynne Styles in Art Course, London, 2006 In 2009 Jessica founded Global Art Compass Ltd., a London-based art investment. Global Art Compass focuses on providing consulting services for individuals and institutions who are interested in buying and selling art with a particular focus on the investment side of collecting. Davina Lee Photography, London, 2007 Curator, consultant and writer Davina Lee is the founder of DIORAMA PROJECTS, which seeks to develop and realize projects which will stimulate artistic and cultural exchange and collaboration. Davina has curated numerous exhibitions in France and Hong Kong. Her articles have been published in various magazines including the Journal of the Royal Photographic Society, Qvest, Tatler and Muse. Davina LeeChristiana Monarchi Contemporary Art, London, 2006 Christiana is now working with James Hyman Gallery, specialising in contemporary and vintage photography within the gallery's programme of modern and contemporary art. Adrienne Neff American Arts Course, New York, 1995 Adrienne is a residential interior designer in New York City. She apprenticed for the mid-century modern antique dealer Liz O’Brien and worked as an interior designer for the architect Alan Wanzenberg before she founded her own firm in 2004. She is a member of ICA, and is a professional partner of the Historic Districts Council. Adrienne is proud to present her first design collection of handmade wallpapers, Uzu. www.adrienneneff.com
Emily Meyer Styles in Art Course, London 2006 After graduating from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Emily went on to earn her MA in Museum Communication from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. While in Philadelphia she worked as the marketing assistant for DesignPhiladelphia, a citywide design initiative. In March 2009, she accepted a position as communications intern at The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh. In addition, she currently works for the City of Pittsburgh’s Summer Youth Employment Program as a programme assistant. John McCann East Asian Art, London, 2006 John works as an arts and culture administrator and has expanded his portfolio of skills into a new career as a researcher, programming and fundraising consultant with a diverse range of projects in the visual, performing arts, and television (PBS), continuing his focus on Asia. Recent projects have included cellist Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Project and providing research and background for Robert Wilson, the renowned theater and opera director, for a piece debuting at the Taiwan International Festival. John is also continuing his academic work researching how Asian art has been collected, studied, written about and displayed in America and is establishing a business as a private dealer of modern and contemporary Asian photography. His professional background includes senior positions at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Brooklyn Academy of Music, and Japan Society in New York. Margaret Olsen Fine & Decorative Art, London, 2007 After completing her studies in London, Margaret worked for a year at Auction Atrium, a start-up London-based online auction house, where she served as Gallery Manager. She moved to New York last fall and has been working for The Estate of Richard Pousette-Dart, as Estate Administrator. Her work at the Estate involves the general administrative operations of the small office which works to further the understanding and awareness of Pousette-Dart's career through the organisation of museum exhibitions, gallery shows, sales of his works, and various publications, etc. Sarah Porter Fine & Decorative Art, London, 2004 Sarah is currently working at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, VA as the Traveling Exhibitions Coordinator. She also has a custom flower design business as well as a new baby boy, Jack, born on May 8, 2009. Come Remy Works of Art, London, 1992 Come works as an Art Advisor and Independent art expert living and working in Paris with his wife and three children. He has clients in Europe, NYC, HK, Singapore and Beijing. As the sole advisor to the Durand Ruel heirs, Come Remy was involved in the sale of seven impressionist paintings (Renoir, Pissaro, and Sisley) at Sotheby’s November 4th auction in New York. He is also pleased to announce his recent signature contribution to the book Création en France: Arts Décoratifs 1945-1965, a repertory of creators working in France after WWII. www.comeremy.com Karen Salama Fine & Decorative Art, London, 1994 Since graduating from Sotheby’s Institute, Karen has worked in a variety of industries including print publishing at Wine Spectator Magazine to the Marketing division at Christie's Auction house. Her focus in the last years has been with digital projects where she has managed the development and deployment of various websites including Saks Fifth Avenue, Black Entertainment Television.com, and International Center of Photography among many other. Most recently, Karen worked on building the social media division at Weber Shandwick PR and upon leaving, has been consulting for a variety of clients-some in the art world. Natalie Popvic Schuh Contemporary Art, London, 2008 Natalie is now the Assistant Director at The Carrie Secrist Gallery in Chicago, IL. Brian Shannon Art Business, London, 2001 Brian Shannon has been working for AXA Art Insurance as an art expert and art advisor for their underwriters, brokers, and clients. He values works of art, organises participation at art fairs (Art Basel, Art Basel Miami, TEFAF, Art Toronto and others), helps clients mitigate losses and care for their collections, and works heavily in marketing. Currently, Brian manages the Fine Art Department activities for the Chicago office, overseeing the art advisory for roughly $20 billion in liabilities (museums, dealers, collectors), with a base of private clients in possession of over $20 billion in art objects. Nathalie Cort Schubert American Arts, New York, 2006 Nathalie has been working as an Assistant to Katie Ridder at Katie Ridder INC, an interior design firm based in New York. Katie Ridder is a small firm that deals with high end residential interior design. Rita Tavares Works of Art, London, 1997 MA, London, 2002 Rita Tavares is now working at Deloitte Portugal as a Marketing, Communications and Business Development Manager. Kate Totman American Fine & Decorative Art, New York, 2009 Since completing the programme at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Kate has been enjoying working for the Metropolitan Museum of Art as a guest relations representative in the Visitor Services department.
