Summer Study in New York
Exploring Contemporary Art
New York offers one of the most dynamic contemporary art scenes in the world, and over the years has been the proving ground for many of today’s most influential artists, galleries, museums, and auction houses. This intensive one-week course provides a guide to contemporary art, surveying the trends and movements that have shaped the period. Through a combination of lectures and visits to museums, galleries and artist studios, students will see the work of some of contemporary art's leading lights and discover those just emerging in the downtown galleries.
