New York offers one of the most dynamic contemporary art scenes in the world, and over the years has been the proving ground for many of today’s most influential artists, galleries, museums, and auction houses. Through intimate, behind-the-scenes dialogue with distinguished artists, curators, critics, gallery owners, and specialists, the course will provide in-depth insight into the production, selection, exhibition and sale of contemporary art in the city today. Visits will include, among others, the AIPAD photography show and the inaugural edition of Frieze Art Fair in New York.
