A Summer of Art: 2012
Every year Sotheby’s Institute of Art welcomes hundreds of students from about 35 different countries to study in two of the world’s great art capitals, London and New York. There are a range of programs and individual courses for art enthusiasts, professionals and students. Taking full advantage of the rich offerings these cities provide including, museums, galleries and special exhibitions, the lectures and field trips are led by the renowned professors of Sotheby’s Institute. 4-Week Classes
Our 4-week courses offer the most immersive study on subjects ranging from the History of Art and Design to Global Emerging Art Markets. Students who have taken these courses in the past include undergraduates seeking a London or New York experience, young professionals pursuing skills and expertise and enthusiasts seeking behind the scenes access to the international art world.

2-Week and 1-Week Classes
Sotheby’s Institute also offers shorter options throughout the summer. These classes provide a more focused agenda relating to a specific area of art history, art business or contemporary art. The 1-week and 2-week classes cover some of the highlights and most important elements of a particular subject.
