Sotheby’s Institute partners with ACRIA to launch The ACRIA Collection
Sotheby’s Institute of Art is thrilled to announce the launch of The ACRIA Collection in partnership with the AIDS Community Research Initiative of America (
www.acria.org), a New York-based non-profit organization that helps people with HIV live longer, healthier lives. The ACRIA Collection aims to raise awareness of the generous artists who have donated original artworks and limited edition prints in support of ACRIA’s vital mission.
Founded in 1991, ACRIA is internationally renowned for its HIV research and education programs, and has contributed to the development of more than a dozen medications that have received FDA approval. Through its
online Store and Gallery, ACRIA raises funds for important AIDS research by selling artworks donated to the organization by celebrated artists. The ACRIA Collection includes a variety of these works, selected and purchased by Sotheby’s Institute of Art with the intent of gifting them to students through various initiatives during the school year.
The first five pieces in The ACRIA Collection (pictured above in order by artist’s name) include works by Barbara Takenaga, Lucas Blalock, Todd Cole, Laleh Khorramian, and Greg Bogin.
