The art business program of Sotheby’s Institute of Art - Los Angeles is now part of the Center for Management in the Creative Industries (CMCI) at Claremont Graduate University’s Drucker School of Management.

A collaboration between The Drucker School, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, the Getty Leadership Institute, and the School of Art and Humanities at Claremont Graduate University (CGU), the CMCI brings together core values and a unique philosophy about leadership and management in the arts. All students entering the degree programs of the CMCI take a foundation semester of core management courses and are then free to choose from a wide range of concentrations tailored to specific areas in the creative industries.

Los Angeles has long been a major center for these industries. Known internationally as the worldwide hub for media, music and entertainment, LA is also a burgeoning axis of contemporary visual and performing art. There is increasing demand for astute, highly-trained and innovative executives and administrators as these disciplines adapt, merge, and migrate to meet the challenges of a technological revolution in a global economy. CGU’s Center for Management in the Creative Industries is the answer to this demand.
