Has published work in a number of journals and art magazines, most recently ‘Pedal-Powered Avant-Gardes: Cycling Paintings in 1912-13’ for The International Journal of the History of Sport. He previously edited Eyeing London (Lawrence and Wishart, 2002) and has also published in Textual Practice, Visual Culture in Britain, New Formations, Literary London and Contemporary as well as a number of books. Has taught for Birkbeck College (University of London), London Metropolitan University and Tate.
